Welcome to the Stardust project. With rapid technological advancements and changes in the global working environment, performing artists can face struggles in making ends meet. The Stardust project acknowledges the challenges faced by performing artists through part-time and short-term contracts and aims to teach performing artists the necessary skills and capabilities in order to help them to fulfil their entrepreneurial potential.
The Stardust project provides a range of learning materials addressed to performing artists, VET professionals and aids to performing artists, to develop and fulfil their entrepreneurial potential.
The Stardust learning materials empower performing artists to develop their skillset in order to be better prepared against challenges they may face within their chosen career. The Stardust project proposes a modular curriculum to help support performing artists to fulfil their entrepreneurial potential. Tailored specifically to the needs of performing artists in each partner country, the Performing Arts Curriculum will address the particular business opportunities available to those in the industry as well as skill development areas.
Throughout the course of the Stardust project, partners will work with and train VET tutors to develop their own resources which they can use to further encourage performing artists and those in the performing arts sector, to further develop their own business acumen capability. To support VET trainers, Stardust proposes an in-service training programme with the focus on supporting VET trainers to deliver the new curriculum to those within the performing arts sector.
To encourage performing artists to see themselves with entrepreneurial potential, the Stardust project provides a range of case studies from successful performing arts entrepreneurs to help others interested in developing their own skill set. All of this learning content is to be presented through the Stardust MOOC (Massive Open Online Courseware). This is an online platform, where VET tutors, performing artists or those within the performing arts sector can access all of the learning materials developed in the Stardust project.
To ensure the Stardust projects addresses the needs and requirements of participants, Public Animation Workshops will take place in Spain, Czech Republic, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, and Serbia in May 2022. A final conference will be held in Spain in August 2022 to present testimonials from those who participated in the training as well as the content created in the Stardust project.
The Stardust project – Performing Arts Entrepreneurs addresses the challenges faced by those in the performing arts sector to build a sustainable career and fulfil their entrepreneurial potential. To achieve these objectives, the Stardust partners are collaborating together throughout the term of the project to produce the following innovative learning materials:
The Stardust project proposes a modular curriculum to help support performing artists to fulfil their entrepreneurial potential. Based on the EntreComp framework and tailored specifically to the needs of performing artists, including actors, dancers and musicians in each partner country, the Performing Arts Curriculum will address the particular business opportunities available to those in the industry as well as skill development areas.
The in-service training programme can be used by vocational educators to support their own professional development. Vocational educators will be empowered to develop their own range of educational resources in an online environment.
To provide access to the range of educational resources from the Stardust, partners propose a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC). Due to the online nature of the resource, participants can access the materials on their smartphones, mobile device or computers.
To encourage performing artists to see themselves with entrepreneurial potential, the Stardust project provides a range of case studies from successful performing arts entrepreneurs to help others interested in developing their own skill set. 7 case studies will be developed on each for each of the following roles within the performing arts sector: actor, dancer and musician.
Stardust has been funded with the support of the Erasmus+ Programme. The Stardust project commenced in September 2020 and will run until August 2022. Stardust is currently being delivered by a team of seven organisations from Spain, Czech Republic, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, and Serbia.
